Monster Kingdom 2 Screenshots
Released in November 2014, Monster Kingdom 2 is our most ambitious and exciting game to date. After 18 months in development, we were thrilled to be featured on the iTunes store, charting in the Top 10 RPG and Strategy games in over 100 countries worldwide. Monster Kingdom 2 features dozens of unique monsters, each drawn and animated by hand; 6 distinct and colorful worlds modeled in 3D, each with a unique flavor; hundreds of hand-drawn and animated combat FX, and a wealth of distinctively quirky items, power-ups, and equipment.
Contributions:
- Led the team in the concept + pre-visualization process - establishing an engaging, consistent aesthetic for characters, environments, and UI
- Led the team in the concept + production of all monster artwork - defining the look for our characters and the methodology for creating them
- Designed + executed all visual UI elements + animations, assisted in UI implementation
- Created over 100 unique item/equipment art assets
- Led marketing efforts by designing app logo, marketing art, and compositing screenshots
- Designed and helped implement a custom animation engine using Spine's Cocos2d-X runtime, giving artists precise control over animation + VFX, while making iteration and in-game previewing quick + efficient
